Back at it!!

Y'all I have some wonderful news to share!! I have a job! As a social worker!! Yahoo!! This is such a huge blessing because I was starting to feel very discouraged about the job market and even put in an application at the Gap, a bridal salon, and various administrative assistant positions. I really didn't want to leave the social work field, but felt like I needed to start working again! God's timing is good!

I interviewed last Wednesday and was offered the job on Friday! I will be working as a drug and alcohol rehab counselor and I start orientation on Monday! I am very excited! While I won't know many of the specifics until after orientation, I'm just really excited about this job and what lies ahead!!!

Today I had to go in for a pre-employment drug test and while I was there waiting (and waiting..) I met another new employee for the same agency! That was fun - and random!

Since my summer "uniform" has been work out clothes and jean shorts I really need to go through my closest, get things organized and make a trip to Good Will! When was the last time you cleaned out your closet? Any tips??

Always a great time.

Congratulations on your new job, and good luck with the closet cleanout! I'd suggest consigning your castoffs or selling them on eBay as long as they're in decent shape...it's a good way to make a little extra money (which is, naturally, used to buy new clothes). :-)

Congratulations!! So happy for you! I clean out my closet at the season change and go with the phrase -- if you don't want it, wear it or love it it goes.

i'm so excited for you tina, what great news! i really look forward to hearing about what your job will entail if there are any details you feel comfortable sharing!

i also agree with someone else's comment about ebay, i have not only started buying clothes on ebay recently but selling, too. it takes a little research to figure it out, but it is pretty simple and a good way to earn some money!

Congratulations! I have been laid off, unemployed for 2 years and working on my LACD license. Do you need that for your job? My background is more probation. I am worried that none of my clothes will fit! I agree about the sleeping in as I get maybe 30 minutes more sleep, as I am not commuting. Up and at them and then stressed about finding a job! I hope all goes great and now I want to shop for new tops. I completely agree about F21! I love to thrift a lot. I still have my ON black pants that are quite old.
Have a great first day!
