Dinner with the girls

I just love Thursday! It's so close to the weekend which gives me just the boost I need to get up and go to work another day! Also, I water my plants on Thursday, so that's fun! ;)

Tonight I got together with some lovely ladies from high school! We don't see each other often, but it's always nice to catch up! I had the most delicious salad! It was a spinach salad with bacon (how bad could it be?!), candied walnuts, thinly sliced apples, and goat cheese, served with apple sherry vinaigrette! I added grilled chicken for a little extra protein! Yum, yum, yum! I will probably dream about this salad. For real.

So I didn't wear these shorts to work (swap the shorts for a black skirt + belt) but I was too pooped when I got home to take pictures then, so you have my dinner with the girls outfit! Please excuse my tired looking eyes.. long week!

Somebody wanted to pose again!

The details - tee: Lands End Canvas, shorts: Doncaster thanks to mom's sample sale discount!, shoes: Nature "Pax" Flats, jewelry: Limited bangles, Mimi's cuff, Charming Charlie earrings

I had a couple of social work firsts this week! I had a client's spouse insist that he play the piano and sing a song for me before I left. Very sweet and charming, even if his vocals wouldn't land him on American Idol! That same afternoon a client's son insisted that he give me a snack of diabetic ice cream, blue berries and melon. I tried to decline multiple times, but after he put it in a bowl and handed it to me it was hard to say no. Very uncomfortable for me, especially since I always decline food and drink at my client's houses (nothing against them, but these sort of policies are made for a reason!). I'm still here, so no harm done, just awkward at the time!

I'm going to see the last Harry Potter movie this weekend with family, so am catching up on the last four movie I've missed! Harry Potter filled weekend!! Have you seen the new movie??

i always struggle with what to do when my clients want to give me something after i leave their house too, and it's usually some sort of food! i would have gladly listened to the guy's piano song though, what an awesome way to support his strengths and something he's interested in. :)
