I think I'm between 1 & 3, however I'd want to try them on. What are your thoughts? Have you been eyeing leather watches?

My current spring craving is soft, flowy scarves! I have some pashmina type scarves from travelling abroad but I don't have many light spring weight scarves. I'm in love!

Cardigans

Husband asked what I was blogging about and I said "cardigans" - and I'm  pretty sure his mind went to The Cardigans and Lovefool! "..Love me, love me, say that you love me!" :)

ANYWAY. After getting freezing rain Friday night and taking at least 30 minutes to free my car yesterday, my mind is ready for Spring!!! How about you??

I really want to invest in a few more cardigans. Cardigans help make some tank tops more work appropriate and quickly change an outfit! I have a few but would like to pick up some other styles and colors!

Wishing for Spring/Summer and the Beach= Thoughts of Lilly Pulitzer

I have been desperately wishing for warm weather and lighter clothes.  I live in what I would consider the deep south and it has been in the 30's and 40's here.  We even had snow this week. Redic...  In addition to the extreme cold, I have also had a cold.  All of these things equal miserable.  So I am counting down the days till warmth and fun, colorful clothes.

I used to think that Lilly clothes were for little girls and older women.  But I have come to realize that there are some cute fashionable clothes.  I love that the collection is colorful.  I have sooooo many blah colors in my winter wardrobe that I have been adding pops of color here and there.  I refuse to look dreary during the winter.

My husband and I plus 2 other couples, a single and a puppy went to Seaside, FL for New Years.  In Seaside there is a Lilly store and the girls and I were iching to take a gander and pretend it's summer at the beach.  However with all the holiday festivities, we never made it :(  I think we all had the same idea, nothing says beach better than bright and cute clothes.  Cue the Lilly Pulitzer Spring 2011 Collection (some of my faves):

1. Nadia Dress Pattern-$378
2. Lela Shift Lace- $328- Comes in White and Black too.
3. ShaunaTunic Printed Engineered-$198
4. Top: Lana Top Slub- $54. I love this versatile, yet simple shirt.   Great for the weekend or work! More colors. Shorts: Resort Bermuda Twill Solid- $64- Comes in blue and lt.pink
5. Blossom Dress Jacquard-$228
6. Cissy Skirt Printed- $98- This is such a fun skirt!  It attracted me because it has flamingos and it brings me back to sorority days, as the flamingo was out local mascot!

7. Eryn Dress Stripe-$298.00
8. Top: Hanna Sweater Argyle Stripe- $128. Shorts: Callahan Shorts Solid- $54- Other colors too.  I just love this whole look. So simple and clean.  The model is even wearing the shoes I've highlighted below.
9.Picture Perfect Espadrille- $198-I'm always looking for a neutral shoe with some height!  Too bad these don't come in itty bitty :)
10. Kiki Dress- $238- Also in Navy.  Add a cute clutch and a colorful wrap and I would totally be wearing this to a wedding this summer!
11. Charmed Bracelet- $68- Had to add this after my Charmed, I'm Sure  post!
12. Coral Ring- $175- This ring is so interesting!  This would make a major statement with the right dress!

Lands' End Canvas: Spring picks

I woke up thinking about spring outfits... not even kidding! I'm so over this winter stuff! Naturally, I go to my happy make-believe world by window shopping online for new spring clothes! Even if I never actually buy anything, it sure is fun!

Here are my spring picks for Lands' End Canvas!
1. herringbone jacket - $79.50
2. lightweight v-neck cardigan - $49.50
3. gingham poplin shirt - $44.50
4. lightweight twill overcoat - $130
5. route 63 snap tote - $138
6. bucket bag - $138
7. boatneck sailor dress - $59.50
8. ruffle henley tank - $24.50
9. modern aviator sunglasses - $49.50
10. leather sandals - $19.97 on sale!
11. sadie quarter strap espadrilles - $78.00
12. chambray full skirt - $49.50
13. superlight crewneck tee - $19.50

A few notes:
-There's nothing super fab about this specific trench (#4), in my opinion, but I think a khaki trench is perfect for spring! I got one last year at Gap outlet and can't wait to start wearing it again!
-I couldn't decide between bag #5 and #6 so you get both! I love the light, spring feel! I will be on the hunt for more of this look!
-I'm really craving a new pair of sunglasses, aviator style (#9). Perhaps as a nod to my aviator husband! I've tried on a few cheap-os at target, and they weren't quite right! I will be victorious and find the right pair!
-white tee (#13) - since I'm just "window shopping" I have no clue how this tee fits! I do think there is just something wonderful about a good white tee.

Don't you feel better just looking at those fun spring items??

Spring 2011 runway

Three trends I'm expecting to see a lot of this spring (in addition to fall and winter trend crossovers like military/ safari inspired, stripes & ruffles):
Citrus colors: I love color, and after a cold winter I'll be so ready when spring comes around and I can scream with color!!

70's inspired: I'm not sure I'm going to rock the 70's pants with pleats, but I love the playful stripes in the Marc by Marc Jacobs dress on the left! I'll be on a mission to find something similar at an affordable price!

Global prints: If I take part in the global print trend it will likely be in accessories like a scarf or possibly a tank.. possibly. I haven't seen a lot of maxi dresses yet, but I'm encouraged that they might still be in so I can get more use out of the ones I have from last year!

What do you think of these trends?
